We’re excited at how the crypto advertising community has responded to the product so far and promise to keep implementing the feedback we receive as it continues to roll in.

But for those who are new to the platform and thinking of trying it out, here are all of your quick-fire questions answered:

Top 7 self-service FAQS.

1. Is there a minimum deposit amount?

Yes, we require a minimum deposit of €500 (Euros) for each campaign, which is the amount we know from our research to be the baseline number required to be competitive in the advertising space for blockchain and crypto audiences.

For an optimal test advertising campaign, we highly recommend a budget of €5,000 (Euros) or above, to ensure your ad appears in the most coveted spots on the largest number of reputable, high-profile crypto media outlets.

2. What are the campaign prices?

Cointraffic operates on a cost-per-mille (CPM) ad network with the bidding pricing model.

Therefore, prices depend on the selected advertising format. It’s hard for us to give a one-size-fits-all number (because there isn’t one), but if you’d like to discuss your specific requirements with one of our Advertising Managers, they will be able to give you a better ballpark of the right budget to set for your desired results. Either sign up for an account and someone will be in touch or reach out to us directly on support@cointraffic.io.

3. I want to make my money go as far as possible. What is the minimum daily budget I can set?

The minimum daily budget for an advertising campaign is €50 (Euros).

Please note that with a daily minimum budget, your campaign will be slower to roll out, because you’ll experience less traction given the limited cap. This may be fine if your product, service or announcement is not time-sensitive (i.e. not an ICO, event or launch) but for anything else, we would recommend setting up a higher minimum daily budget, because this will speed up the campaign rollout — and therefore traffic.

Please note, if you want to test two (or more) advertising formats at the same time, they would be charged separately. In this case, for two formats, your daily consumption would be at least €100 (Euros) per day — and more if you’ve set up more formats. Setting up your daily minimum budget is a personal choice and depends completely on your goals. We’re here to help if you need us.

4. What are the payment methods available to me?

We accept bank payments, with transfers taking between 1–4 business days, and in cryptocurrencies via BitPay and CoinGate systems, with the transfer taking up to 1 day. Payment is all facilitated through your personal Cointraffic dashboard, please sign up for an account or log in to set your preferred payment method up.

5. What sizes and formats of banners are accepted?

Each advertising format has its own banner size, and please note that we only accept GIF, JPG and PNG banners up to 600 KB. Please find the pixel specifications listed below:

  • In-page (static) banners on desktop are (300x250, 160x600, 728x90).
  • In-page (static) banners on mobile are (300x250).
  • Sticky banners on desktop are (1440x48).
  • Sticky banners on mobile are (600x75).
  • Premium headers on desktop are (1440x90).
  • Native ads on desktop (a cover image with logo 800x600).
  • Headline: Up to 50 symbols.
  • Body text: Up to 250 symbols.

If you’re in a creative rut and can’t find the juices or time to come up with your own campaign images, remember that our design team will help prepare HTML5 animated banners for your advertising campaign for free. Just get in touch with your Advertising Manager to claim yours!

6. How can I get more traffic volume per day?

Great question! The best way to increase your traffic volumes is to firstly, increase your CPM price, as this opens up to more eyes per dollar spent. Then, increase your daily campaign limit, so that your money has more of an impact.

Once you have done that, we recommend expanding your geotargeting efforts so that more crypto-heads around the globe can engage with your ad — this is especially important if your campaign isn’t about something that is location-specific. And lastly, connecting additional advertising formats can mean that your ad will appear in different places (and in different ways) across our publishers’ sites. Research shows that some prospects need to have multiple interactions with your brand before making a purchase or clicking through, so diversifying your ad formats can be a great way to reach those tricky, high-value leads.

7. How do I optimize my traffic?

Another good question!

In our experience, it’s best to block sites and disable creative assets with low click-through rates (CTR). If they aren’t performing well, there’s no point in waiting for them to get better — reiterate, test and try again!

Regularly updating creative assets can also help (even if a specific campaign is performing well, you can still use certain parts of the campaign to “refresh” into a new one). Like we said before, you may choose to use the same assets to diversify into different ad formats, with minor differences in copywriting and image.

Disable any inefficient geo-targeting settings and any inefficient formats to make sure you’re maximising your audience filtering capabilities and only attracting the right kind of customers and leads for your product, ICO, event or launch.
